Photo Coach Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection
Photo Coach collects the following data to provide and improve its services.
Anonymous analytics data
We use Firebase Analytics to track app usage (screens visited, buttons clicked) in a 100% anonymous manner. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Access without account (anonymous auth)
Using Photo Coach does not require creating an account. Anonymous Firebase authentication is used to assign a technical UID not linked to your identity. No email, name, or personal identifier is requested.
Subscription data
RevenueCat manages your subscription information, transactions, and Premium status. Payment data is handled exclusively by Apple via the App Store.
Technical logs
We temporarily record technical logs for app diagnostics and improvement. These logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.
2. Data Usage
Collected data is used solely for the following purposes.
App improvement
Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience and fix bugs.
Personalization
Adapt advice and recommendations based on your usage history within the app.
Subscription management
Manage your Premium status, automatic renewals, and communications related to your subscription.
3. AI Analysis with Gemini
Photo Coach uses Google Gemini AI to analyze your photos and provide personalized advice.
Real-time analysis
Your photos are sent to Google Gemini AI via a secure HTTPS connection solely for instant analysis. Analysis is performed in memory and no files are stored on our servers or Google's.
No photo storage
Photo Coach never stores your photos. Once the analysis is complete, all image data is deleted. Only analysis metadata (scores, advice) may be saved locally on your device.
Local history
If you choose to save a project in the history, only a very small thumbnail is stored locally on your device along with the generated advice. This data never leaves your phone.
4. Third-party Services and Data Transfers
Photo Coach uses secure third-party services for certain features.
Google Gemini AI
Image analysis (HTTPS transit only, no storage with Google). Transfer to USA with Privacy Shield (GDPR compliant).
Firebase (Google)
Anonymous authentication (no user account), anonymous analytics and crash reporting (Crashlytics). Transfer to USA with Privacy Shield.
RevenueCat
Subscription and transaction management. Transfer to USA with Privacy Shield.
Apple App Store
Payments and transactions. Fully managed by Apple according to their terms.
5. Your Rights
In accordance with GDPR, you have the following rights.
Right of access
Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
Right of rectification
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Right to erasure
Delete your personal data from our systems.
Right to data portability
Receive your data in a structured and readable format.
Right to object
Object to the processing of your data for legitimate reasons.
6. Retention Period
We only retain your data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
Technical logs
Maximum 30 days, then automatic deletion.
Anonymous analytics
Anonymous aggregated data retained indefinitely for statistical analysis.
Active subscriptions
Subscription data retained for the entire duration of your subscription plus 3 years for accounting obligations.
App uninstallation
If you uninstall the app, local data (thumbnails, history) is removed from your device by iOS.
7. Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data.
Encryption
All communications are encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS.
Authentication
Backend data access restricted by Firebase authentication with temporary tokens.
Restricted access
Only authorized personnel have access to systems containing your data.
